Maintenance

Extending cable life inside a carrier

Nearly every premature failure comes down to three things: too little clearance, no separation and wrong strain relief.

Separate, always

Cables chafing against each other wear through their sheath within months. Give every cable its own chamber with separators, and never stack heavy on light cables.

Strain relief at both ends

Fix cables at both the fixed and the moving end connector, so they can breathe inside the chain but cannot migrate. Migrating cables form loops in the bend and break there.

Inspection interval

In continuous operation, check every six months for wear marks on the glide surfaces and play in the end connector bolts. Replace a worn glide element before it touches the cable sheath.
