A standard cable is intended for fixed installation: the conductors break after a few thousand bend cycles. Flexible cables for cable carriers feature finely stranded copper and a special construction capable of withstanding millions of movements.

What bend radius does a flexible power cable require?

Typically 7.5 to 10 times the cable diameter during dynamic movement. The cable carrier must have at least this radius; the configurator automatically takes this into account.

Can you install the cables in the cable carrier for us?

Yes. We supply the carrier fully populated, complete with strain relief at both ends and dividers where required, ready for installation.

The Tsubaki Kabelschlepp POWER 400 18X1.5² is an unshielded flexible power cable constructed with 18 conductors of 1.5 mm² cross-section. How does the copper surcharge work?

Cable prices are based on a fixed copper base. Because the copper price moves daily, we charge the difference with the current DEL quotation separately as a copper surcharge. That keeps the cable price stable and shows exactly what you pay for copper.
