How does the copper surcharge work?

Cable prices are based on a fixed copper base. Because the copper price moves daily, we charge the difference with the current DEL quotation separately as a copper surcharge. That keeps the cable price stable and shows exactly what you pay for copper.

Copper weight: 0.031 kg/m
DEL quotation: 1258.23 €/100 kg · 2026-08-24
Purchase costs: 12.46 €/100 kg
Copper base: 150 €/100 kg

Calculation

copper weight (kg/m) × ((DEL + purchase costs) − copper base) ÷ 100

The surcharge is not added to the cable price, but listed separately on the order and invoice. The quotation on the day of dispatch applies.
