Why does pitch matter?
Pitch is the length of one link. A small pitch gives a finer curve, less polygon effect and quieter running, but slightly more links per metre. A large pitch is more robust with heavy fill and long travels. Length rounding follows the pitch: your chain length is always a multiple of it.
How do you choose within the radius range?
Each series has a fixed set of radii, for example 75, 100, 125 and 150 mm. Pick the smallest radius comfortably above the requirement of your most sensitive cable: a larger radius lengthens the chain and the build height. Each radius step adds roughly π × 25 mm of chain length.
Which accessories belong to the series?
End connectors, separators, shelves, glide shoes and guide troughs are series-specific and not interchangeable between manufacturers. Order them together: a missing end connector stops an entire installation. Our product pages list the matching items under 'You also need'.
Does lead time weigh in the choice?
Yes, more often than is technically necessary. Two series that both fit can differ by two weeks in lead time. So filter our catalogue on stock: when it says 'in stock' we ship the same working day for orders before 15:00.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I mix series from different manufacturers?
- No. Pitch, pin diameter and stop angle differ; the chain then runs unevenly and the stop does not carry. When extending, replace a whole run or use a transition piece if the maker offers one.
- How do I identify the series of an existing chain?
- Measure the pitch (centre to centre of two pins), side-band height and inner width, and photograph the end connector. With those four we recognise almost any series, including older Kabelschlepp series.
- Does the configurator work out the series for me?
- Yes. Enter fill, travel and environment; the configurator proposes size, radius, chain length and accessories and can turn it straight into a quote request.
