Conduit by nominal size

Cable protection conduit NW14

Looking for cable protection conduit in nominal size NW14? We supply 4 versions in PA6, Polyamide 6, per metre or cut to length, with matching glands and clamps. Below all articles with material, profile, radius and price per metre.

What fits in this size?

NW14 means an inner diameter of roughly 14 mm. Never fill a conduit completely: keep the cable bundle below about 11 mm (around 80 % fill) so cables can still move. Static installations allow a little more, moving applications less.

Torn between two sizes? Take the larger one: it extends cable life and makes pulling in far easier.

Choosing PA6 or PA12

PA6 is the standard: strong, affordable and fine for most machine building. PA12 resists chemicals, oil and cold better and stays flexible at low temperatures — the usual choice for robot and outdoor applications. When in doubt our advisors check your application.

Frequently asked questions about NW sizes

What does NW14 mean on a conduit?

NW is the nominal width: the inner diameter in millimetres. NW14 therefore offers about 14 mm free passage. The outer diameter depends on profile and material and is listed on the article page.

How many cables fit in NW14?

Allow a cable bundle of about 11 mm at most. Add up your cable diameters (side by side, with some room between them); if the bundle stays below that figure, pulling in works well.

Which gland belongs to this size?

Every NW size has its own gland size, usually with metric thread (M12, M16, M20 …). The matching gland is listed on the article page; if in doubt, email us your NW size and thread.

Can you supply the conduit cut to length?

Yes. We supply per metre from the reel or cut to size, with glands fitted if you wish. Stock articles ordered before 15:30 CET ship the same working day.
